The KK Motorcycle booth was a busy spot this past weekend. The 44th edition of the Dealernews International Powersports Dealer Expo was not such a surprise for the KK staff. We knew we were bringing our “A” game as they say. With new marketing plan for products and the company itself. Along with the dealer portal and with web access at the show we were able to set dealers up on the spot, take orders and help dealers learn this new system offering from KK Motorcycle Supply.
Friday was the first day of the show for this year. Where the show used to start on Saturday and run into Monday this year it was shifted to start a day earlier and end on Sunday. Bryan Kelley (VP), Jim Good (Marketing), Dave Webb (Portal Developer) and Norm our great road sales guy from the great north east was on hand to help the dealers learn about new products and more from KK Motorcycle Supply.
Day two turned out really quick to be the hottest day for the show. With what had to be a record number of people in attendance for the show in its new location, and new dates walking the floor. KK’s full road and house sales staff was on hand to meet with vendors and dealers alike. We not only had back to back vendor meetings in the morning but we were able to sign up just around 20 new dealers that all came looking for what so many dealers know KK already offers and that is top notch customer service and quick order turn shipping.
Our Celebrity guest was champion racer Bryan Smith – Kawasaki racer and Flat track star stopped by KK booth midafternoon and hung out with Pat Kelley (President of KK Motorcycle Supply) and Dave Bowman (KK Race Sponsor Supervisor). Bryan was nice enough to sign a few posters, and take a few pictures with fans. The day came to an end late into the evening with dealer dinners, vendor parties and just some time to reflect on the day with the staff of KK.
Sunday! SUNDAY! Sunday, parking might not have been free but still large groups of dealers walking the floor, well over what we have seen in the past. KK was still sitting down with Dealers like Midwest Custom Cycle Works, Countryside ATV & Cycle Redline Fabrication and more, all the way past the end of the show. While other people were packing up there booths, KK was still talking with Dealers from as far away as Puerto Rico and Vancouver Canada.
All in all it was a great show for KK Motorcycle Supply and the Powersports industry. From new products, to old dealers, everyone got to take in the great parts of the show and the city of Indianapolis. KK Motorcycle Supply has already confirmed their booth location for the 2012 show which will once again be held at the Indianapolis Lucas Oil Expo Center downtown Indianapolis. So thanks to the people from Dealernews for putting together the show.
