KK Motorcycle Supply display doubles in size

INDIANAPOLIS, Feb. 18, 2011 - KK Motorcycle Supply has doubled its show footprint this year with a new booth taking up two 20x20s. The Dayton, Ohio-based distributor is promoting new brands, an entirely revamped catalog, and a new online ordering system. Dealers who place a qualifying Dunlop order will receive a new KK/Dunlop Shop Jacket for free.
KK’s main booth (1411) is displaying products and general information about the company. “Not a lot of people know the history of this company,” says VP Bryan Kelley. “It’s a company that my grandpa and great grandpa both helped start, going all the way back to the ’20s when my great-grandpa was an Indian factory racer, to 1959 when my grandpa started KK in the back of his dad’s motorcycle shop, to now with the third and fourth generations running things.”
KK’s second booth (1511) is divided in two. The first half features all KK’s helmet brands, including Nitro, O’Neal, THH and Xpeed. The other half is a customer hospitality area with some tables so dealers can sit with their sales reps and discuss the coming year.
Stopping by the booths this weekend are flat track racers Jared Mees (the 2009 Grand National Dirt Track Champion), Bryan Smith and Nichole Cheza.
New vendors in the KK area include Vee Rubber and Continental Tires. They’re among about 20 vendors the nationwide distributor has added in the past couple of years, helping it to nearly double its catalog to 1,700 pages from 900 pages last year.
To get dealers stocked up for spring, KK Motorcycle Supply has 10 different show deals on key items, deals open to new customers as well. Dealers interested in getting set up with KK should stop by the booth to fill out the dealer application paperwork, or do so at www.kkcycle.com.
Also on the website is the new KK Dealer Portal, where dealers can check stock and place orders. “We have been testing the portal for the last few months with a handful of dealers and are ready for the full launch,” Bryan says.
In addition, the company uses its Facebook page and a new e-mail communication system to keep dealers abreast of new products, race news and sales.
